Important Information

Frequently Asked Questions About the Inca Jungle Tour

Clear answers on physical fitness, cycling safety, rafting equipment, weather shifts, and Machu Picchu circuits.

The ideal trekking season is during the dry months from April through October, when days are sunny and skies are clear, offering spectacular mountain views. The trek can still be done from November to March, though you may encounter intermittent seasonal rains and lusher green valleys.

Our exclusive Sky Lodge Domes are permanent geodesic structures equipped with comfortable beds, warm down blankets, electric lighting, and private or nearby bathroom facilities with 360-degree glass roofs for celestial stargazing. Unlike cold nylon tents, our domes maintain superior insulation and protection against Andean night temperatures.

The Salkantay Trek is classified as moderate to challenging due to the altitude. The highest point is the Salkantay Pass at 4,630 m (15,190 ft). We strongly recommend arriving in Cusco (3,400 m) at least 2 to 3 days prior to your trek start date to properly acclimatize. Drinking plenty of water and coca tea will help your body adapt smoothly.

All packages include official Machu Picchu entrance permits, professional bilingual Quechua guides, gourmet meals cooked fresh daily by our expedition chefs, dome or glamping accommodations, transport from/to your hotel in Cusco, horsemen/mules for duffle bags (up to 7 kg per person), and first-aid medical kits with oxygen.

Absolutely! Our professional chefs are experienced in preparing specialized gourmet menus for Vegetarians, Vegans, Gluten-Free/Celiac travelers, Lactose-intolerant, and any severe food allergies at no additional cost. Just let us know during booking!
