Deposit & Balance Payment Terms

A non-refundable deposit of $200 USD per person is required to confirm all Salkantay Treks and Sky Lodge Domes bookings. For Classic Inca Trail treks, the permit fee ($250 USD) is strictly required upon reservation to purchase official government permits under your passport name and number.

The remaining balance must be paid upon your arrival in Cusco during the pre-trek orientation briefing (Cash in USD or Peruvian Soles, or by credit card with a 5% terminal merchant fee).

Flexibility & Cancellation Policy

If you cancel up to 30 days prior to your departure, your deposit (minus non-refundable official Inca Trail and Machu Picchu tickets already issued) can be transferred to a future travel date within 12 months.

We strongly recommend all travelers acquire comprehensive travel insurance covering trip cancellation, flight delays, and high-altitude emergency medical coverage.

Essential Pre-Booking Guidelines

  • Passport Validity: Must have at least 6 months validity from your scheduled trek date.
  • Student ID Card: University students under 25 must carry an official accredited student card for discounts.
  • Acclimatization: Arrive in Cusco at least 24 to 48 hours prior to start to adjust comfortably to altitude.
  • Travel Insurance: Comprehensive adventure sports medical insurance covering cycling and rafting is required.
